IBPS is an organisation which helps bank in personnel selection, recruitment and assessment etc. It conducts online exams through which candidate can apply for job in 20 public banks.

Overview

Preliminary Examination consisting of Objective Tests and test would be of 1 hour duration consisting of 3 Sections as follows:

NOTE: Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing cut-off marks to be decided by IBPS. Adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by IBPS depending upon requirements will be shortlisted for online main examination. There will be negative marking for wrong answers in the objective test. ¼ th mark or 0.25 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

IBPS reserves the right to modify the structure of the examination which will be intimated through its website. Other detailed information regarding the examination will be given in an Information Handout, which will be made available for the candidates to download along with the call letters from the authorized IBPS website.

Interview

Candidates who have been shortlisted in the main examination for IBPS PO will subsequently be called for an interview to be conducted by the Participating Organisations and coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each state/ UT with the help of IBPS. Interviews will be conducted at select centers. The center, address of the venue, time & date of interview will be informed to the shortlisted candidates in the call letter. The total marks allotted for Interview are 100. The minimum qualifying marks in interview will not be less than 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates). The weightage (ratio) of Main exam and interview will be 80:20 respectively. The combined final score of candidates shall be arrived at on the basis of scores obtained by the candidates in the Main Examination of IBPS PO and Interview. Interview score of the candidates failing to secure minimum qualifying marks or otherwise barred from the interview or further process shall not be disclosed. A candidate should qualify both in the Main and interview and be sufficiently high in the merit to be shortlisted for subsequent provisional allotment process, details of which will be made available subsequently on IBPS website.

Eligibility

Age:   Age (As on 01.07.2016): Minimum: 20 years Maximum: 30 years i.e. A candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.07.1986 and not later than 01.07.1996 (both dates inclusive)

Educational Qualification:   Candidate should have a Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognized by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. The candidate must possess valid. Mark-sheet / Degree Certificate that he/ she is a graduate on the day he / she registers and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online.

Computer Literacy:   Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory i.e. candidates should have Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language/ should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/College/Institute. Proficiency in the Official Language of the State/UT (candidates should know how to read/ write and speak the Official Language of the State/UT) for which vacancies a candidate wishes to apply is preferable.
