How to prepare for RBI Grade B Exam
RBI Grade B Exam is one of the most coveted banking exams in India. Garnering lakhs of applications every year, it is also the most competitive banking exam in India. One must have a rock-solid strategy and guidance to ensure selection through the RBI Grade B Exam. Here’re a few tips that will help you develop your own RBI Grade B preparation strategy:
- Understand the Syllabus: The RBI Grade B Exam is divided into three rounds namely RBI Grade B Phase I, RBI Grade B Phase II and Interview. The Phase-I is a general aptitude test comprising four sections namely Quantitative Aptitutde, Reasoning, English and General Awareness. The Phase-II is a subject-focussed test comprising three papers namely Economic & Social Issues,Finance & Management and English Descriptive Test. It is crucial to develop a comprehensive understanding of the syllabus of each of these subject. Prepare a list of topics that are a part of the syllabus and then start with your preparation.
- Develop Conceptual Understanding: Once the prework is done, it is time to develop conceptual understanding of each of the topic that is a part of the syllabus. While the topics in Quantitative Aptitude and Logical Reasonign are basic ones, the questions can be tricky. Thus, develop deep understanding of the topics and practice them well. Similarly, if you have no background of ESI or FM, consider enrolling in a RBI Grade B preparation course to develop a thorough understanding of these subjects.
- Write sufficient mock tests: When you’re halfway through the syllabus, it’s time to start writing mock tests. Enroll in a good test series that can provide you the closest-to-exam experience and write atleast one mock test each way. It will allow you to assess your performance and improve upon the weak areas in a phased manner.
